The Wallflowers Huntsville Concert reviews
Joe Bonamassa
I love JOE, my favorite artist and will never stop. He is the best guitar player in the world, no question. I love him! He has a heart and feeling and emotion in his playing, he plays to his emotion, the best I have ever heard in this lifetime!
This venue was beautiful but too much like a 30's blues lounge. I wanted to hear Happier Times, Dust Bowl, Mountain Time, Blue and Evil, Ball Peen Hammer, Slow Train, SeaGull, Dislocated Boy, etc. The songs are endless, but I didn't know the songs. Also, the endings were too long and pyrotechnic. Need to shorten some of that. Rather hear him play and sing what he does best! No need for any fancy guitar work at the end.
It was fabulous, but I expected much more of The Wallflowers' older material. I wish he had played Happier Times. I wished he had played Last Kiss. Oh well. One or two songs okay, every song, just too much and overkill. It was too repetitive and got boring at the middle of the concert. Keep it special so people will appreciate it, if you do it every song people get sick of it. If I was rich, would hire him for a private benefit for my paralyzed husband.
